Road work stages 1.1-1.3 + stage 2.1

The training presents laws and regulations for people carrying out roadworks and how to apply them to different types of work. You will also gain an understanding of the risks involved in roadworks and how they can be prevented to make you a safe employee. This course takes place online and gives you as a course participant a certificate / course certificate after passing. The certificate is saved with us that you can also save or print yourself.

The course covers, among other things:

• Laws and rules
• Personal protective equipment.
• Definitions of the different zonal divisions in a workplace.

Drivers of road maintenance vehicles carrying out the following work must pass the Swedish Transport Administration's certification test:

• Anyone driving a road maintenance vehicle equipped with an energy absorbing protective device (TMA, mounted on or towed by vehicle).
• Anyone driving a road maintenance vehicle, where the vehicle is actively used for intermittent work on classified roads. The requirement applies even if the vehicle has no intermittent markings. The requirement does not apply to drivers of vehicles making temporary and short-term visits to the workplace, e.g. to deliver goods/materials or transport personnel.

Drivers of road maintenance vehicles with certification requirements shall have the following competences:

• Have an in-depth knowledge of the requirements set out in step 1.
• Know how to handle energy absorbing protective devices, their installation, mode of operation and how to use them.
• Know how to use device X5 Yellow light arrow or arrows.
• Know how to position vehicles with energy absorbing protective devices on the roadway, in order to achieve a good working environment and safety for road users.
• Be able to communicate in Swedish and with other drivers of road maintenance vehicles that are part of the current execution.

The certificate is valid for 4 years.

Are certification exams required at the Swedish Transport Administration?

For those who perform work where the Swedish Transport Administration is the client, there is a requirement for certification tests at the Swedish Transport Administration for step 2.1 and up

• You book your certification test in Road Work and Winter Road Maintenance in person via the Förarprov website.
  Login is done using mobile BankID and it is required that you have a valid ID06 card registered with the Swedish Transport Administration (see point 2) at the time of booking.
• To have the result/invoice sent to you, you need to register an e-mail address. You do this under "My details".
