The Swedish Transport Administration requires that contractors and consultants engaged under contracts have staff with the skills specified in the contract. These requirements must be met before they begin their work.
Target group
In addition to general basic competence level 1.1, personnel who carry out roadworks or similar work, such as design assignments, management work, on a roadway or associated inner slope (roadside) where passing vehicles occur, must have APV 1.3. Examples of roles and tasks that need to meet the competence requirements in steps 1.1 and 1.3:
- Pavement workers.
- Performers of works under basic contracts.
- Co-worker to person with stage 2 requirements, pilot, etc.
- Carry out design or maintenance work.
- Guard who also performs pilotage.
- Road worker driving his own road maintenance vehicle.
- Carry out maintenance work in or on the installation
